Frequently Asked Questions

HOW DOES MY UNSTOPPABLE COMMITMENT CHANGE MY REGULAR GIVING AND ANY ADDITIONAL GIVING?

During this two-year period, every dollar given to Crossroads is a contribution toward our Unstoppable journey. This means that everything — including our general ministry budget, our local and global mission work, and all the R.U.N initiatives — will be supported through Unstoppable.

WHAT ARE YOU ASKING ME TO DO?

1. Pray About Your Role – First and foremost, we are asking you to pray and seek God’s direction on what He is asking of you. Unstoppable will be catalyzed by prayer, so please pray daily for what God will do in your life and through our church.

2. Engage in an Unstoppable Growth Group – We cannot think of a better way to grow, ask questions, and ignite your spiritual enthusiasm than to join a 5-week Unstoppable group with others who are on the same journey. To register, visit crossroadsgrace.org/groups.

3. Discern God’s Direction – Spend time in personal reflection with God using the Unstoppable Series Guide. Then, initiate healthy conversations with others about what you’re learning.

4. Make an Unstoppable Commitment – We ask that you make a significant generosity commitment that stretches your faith and honors God. Be as generous as you can to lead every one to discover Jesus and follow Him fully. Give in a way that changes you.

5. Mark Your Calendar for Advance Commitment Night – On Friday, February 16 at 6:30pm anyone who is ready to make an early commitment will come together for a special service of worship, testimony, commitment, and celebration. This gathering will be a defining moment for our church as we offer our commitments and pray for every ONE who will come to know Jesus at Crossroads.

6. Prepare to be Amazed – We are asking God for a season of personal and collective growth that only He can generate. Open your eyes and prepare your heart to see God at work in a new way.

ARE THERE ADDITIONAL WAYS BESIDES CASH THAT I CAN GIVE TOWARDS UNSTOPPABLE?

Be creative as you explore ways you and your family can give toward the Unstoppable Initiative. You might have stocks, property, or other forms of stored resources with which God has blessed you and from which He might be prompting you to give. If you need assistance facilitating gifts of property or stock, please contact Crossroads’ Executive Pastor, Ed Applegate at ed@crossroadsgrace.org.

HOW LONG IS MY COMMITMENT?

We ask that everyone make a two-year commitment to Unstoppable. Your fulfillment of that commitment will begin in March 2024 and will conclude in March 2026. 

WHAT IF I AM IN DEBT RIGHT NOW? SHOULD I STILL GIVE?

If you are currently making payments to eliminate debt, we commend you for your progress on this important goal. You should continue to do so. If we can help you on the journey to become debt-free, please let us know. Crossroads recommends biblically-based budget and financial planning resources through Financial Peace University (online courses are offered constantly at ramseysolutions.com; our next in-person course will be offered in Fall 2024). However, being in debt doesn’t give us a pass on giving. Giving isn’t about what God wants from you, but what He wants for you. God instructs us to find a way to give with joy at all times, regardless of our circumstances.

WHAT IF I HAVE NEVER GIVEN TO CROSSROADS BEFORE?

Unstoppable was crafted with you in mind. Unstoppable is a one-fund generosity initiative. It is different from a traditional capital campaign in which you are called to give an extra gift above and beyond your normal giving. Unstoppable is a call to sacrificial generosity for everyone. If you have never given before, this is your chance to get in the game!

WHAT IF I AM NEW AROUND HERE?

We believe the local church has the most compelling mission to which we can give our lives. We would love for you to make Crossroads your church home as we seek to lead every one to discover Jesus and follow Him fully.  We encourage you to join an Unstoppable Group as a way to begin to discover our church community!

WHAT IF I HAVEN’T BEEN BAPTIZED?

Like other spiritual disciplines, giving draws us closer to God. The Bible says: “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” (Matthew 6:19). Whether you have taken the spiritual step of baptism or not, we would encourage you to join us still in Unstoppable. We believe it will draw you closer to God and hopefully to a place where you are ready to make the decision to surrender your life to Jesus through baptism.

HOW CAN I GIVE?

We have several options for giving. The best and easiest way to give is to set up an automated recurring giving online at crossroadsgrace.org/give. You can also drop your gift via check or cash in the offering boxes in the auditorium during weekend services.
